Transport
Fátima is quite small and getting around by foot is not an issue. Getting to Fátima itself is also a breeze by car or bus. There are many daily bus departures from large cities such as Lisbon and Porto, all of which are fairly priced and quick. The nearest train station to Fátima is roughly 20 km away in the city of Chão de Marçãs, so hiring a car is a great option if you want the freedom of exploring Fátima and the countryside.

Sanctuary of Fátima
The biggest selling point of the city is without a doubt the world-famous Sanctuary of Fátima, located just steps from the hotel. Also referred to as the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima, is a group of Catholic religious buildings and structures found in the heart of Fátima. The area consists of the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, Chapel of the Lausperene, Chapel of the Apparitions and much more.

Day trips
While there is so much to see and do in the city Fátima itself, we also advise exploring the surrounding area. Get out into nature in the Serra de Aire and enjoy a relaxing hike, explore the caves of Mira de Aire or Grutas da Moeda, marvel at the medieval monastery in Batalha, or take a journey back in time at the Monumento Natural das Pegadas de Dinossáurio de Ourém-Torre Novas.
